The REC20-6D Yuasa 6DH4-OL5 7.2v High Temperature D cell pack is rechargeable with excellent cyclic performance. With a long service life of up to 4 years in emergency lighting applications. The REC20-6D utilises the Foamed Nickel technology & 3D mesh structure for higher capacity in smaller can sizes.

Ni-Cd emergency lighting batteries are preferred over cheaper, lead-acid batteries, due to the longer life expectancy and are also smaller and lighter. They are easy to install & maintain - typically installed with wire leads that are permanently attached to the batteries. They operate with relatively low voltages and can give up to more backup illuminating power. Ni-Cd batteries are used in applications where long life, a high discharge rate and economical price are important.

Yuasa Nickel Cadmium batteries are maintenance free & designed for use in industrial applications such as emergency lighting.
