The LTX12-BS is constructed with lead calcium alloy, this gives the battery a longer life as they hold their charge three times as long as conventional lead antimony batteries.Equipped with Absorbent Glass Mat or AGM technology, the fiberglass mat holds the acid thus the battery is less likely to sulfate. With a depth of discharge (DoD) of 80% which is far superior compared to standard flooded batteries with only a DoD of 50%. The LTX12-BS is an excellent battery for start-stop applications due to its low internal resistance and quick high current loads deliverability. This also means that it has a lower self-discharge rate during long term storage conditions. Hence does not require a topping charge as frequently. AGM batteries also charge five times faster, have increased cycle life and are vibration resistant. Requiring less electrolyte than flooded batteries hence weighing less, making the AGM battery an excellent choice for power sport applications. Lower weight, lower maintenance & overall enhanced performance.
